Founded in 2016 by Miatta Bofa Mulbah Tarpeh, LEEMAH is a non-governmental organization dedicated to uplifting women and girls. We believe every woman is a precious jewel, and when empowered, she can shine in every aspect of life.

What We Do

We focus on:

Education & Skills Development – workshops, mentorship, and vocational training.

Leadership & Political Participation – nurturing women to take active roles in governance.

Health Education, Nutrition & Agriculture – practical programs for wellbeing and self-sufficiency.

Rehabilitation & Counseling – supporting survivors and those in need of guidance.

Advocacy – fighting domestic violence, gender-based injustice, and harmful traditional practices.

  • Miatta founded LEEMAH in 2016 after earning a Certificate in Social Project Management in India. Her mission: to empower women and girls through education, skills, health guidance, rehabilitation, counseling, and advocacy.
  • She believes that every woman is a precious jewel capable of transforming her family, community, and nation. Under her leadership, LEEMAH has grown into a vibrant NGO that nurtures confidence, leadership, and purpose-driven action.
